EV's can get a speeding ticket..who knew?

Electric Vehicles designed for racing ran against vehicles built by Porshe, Buggatti and Ferrari. An unknown start-up company beat the big boys named above. I like driving fast, I like when the little guy wins and I like it even more when they don't contribute to global warming.

Linkage to the article is here.

Happy Monday Dusty! Thanks for this link - make the EV fast and sexy and the ICs will bite the dust eventually! ;)

this is how we got started with gasoline engines, and it's a wonderful thing to see.

Well lets be clear that the electricity has to be generated somewhere. In the US generally from coal.

Ironically, a hybrid can sometimes be more efficient than a pure electric because it actually recovers energy from breaking that would ordinarily be lost. Then you just have to consider the emissions of the hybrid engine vs. emissions at the power generator.

Still though, the concept is cool, and I especially like the photo. :-)

True Kvatch, but a start is a start..and baby steps are always a good way to begin in order to assess the pros and cons of anything.
