NFL's Black Monday continues into Tuesday.

Norv Turner was shown the door today by the Raiders..he joins Mike Martz, Mike Sherman, Dom Capers, Jim Haslett, Mike Tice and the newly retired Dick Vermeil as unemployed head coaches. Tice was fired minutes after the Vikes final game with the others getting the axe on Monday...guess Oakland didnt want to share the spotlight and waited till today to shit-can Norv..Detroit dumped Mariucci early in the season so that brings the total of NFL coaching vacancies to..hell....8 teams lining up to hire a new coach.

7 people gave us their .02 cents:

NFL coaching is hazardous...that is what makes a guy like Cowher in Pittsburgh so unusual, he has been there something like 12 or 15 years.

Most guys only last 5 years at most.

Look for Denny Green to be shown the door next. Too bad Bill Bidwill can't fire himself...

wonder if I could get a big time NFL job, hell I would only need it a year, and I would be debit free...

btw: we look like a normal cpl.

I wonder if we could do a "Coaching Apprentice" show? The worlds finest rejects doing stupid stunts all in order to become a NFL football coach.

I think we could sell it to NBC.

I can't wait to see where everyone lands and which new coaches move up to the big time. My eyes are on Childress, Payton, Kubiak and Carthon.

Yeah I heard Kubiaks name already..should be interesting.

Sherman's gone. :)

Now, we might see Favre throw 30 TDs again in his second to last year. He'll pass Marino for sure.

I've never liked Sherman. So much talent to work with, but always folding. The Packers have never had a running back this good. Yes, Green is better than Jim Taylor. Yet, Sherman blew that one game in 2003 against the Eagles. 4th and 1 with the NFL's 3rd best running back and they punt. That would have been the game. I would have fired Sherman on the spot. Packers could have won the Super Bowl that year.
