Sports stuff

"We've been clear that the choices are to play under this contract or not. I'm not sure he still believes that, but we've said from Day 1 those were the choices on the table and he had to make a choice between one of the two things.
"That's not going to change."
Thats a quote from the Prez of the Philadelphia Eagles..ya gotta love it..unless your T.O. which as far as I can tell means shut the fuck up and deal..T.O. was on Sportscenter tonight pitching his views on the, ahem.."situation"..the man is delusional..his teamates are tired of his schtick and the fans are getting there..

Raffy Palmiero is ready to come back from his steroid suspension..i got the fucktard on a few fantasy leagues..and unless he is getting back in there, i gotta deceide what to do w/his steroid-filled ass.

Mariano Rivera blew his third save of the season..true he had like 29 or 30 straight..but a bs is a bs..(bs=blown save).Red Sawx are STILL in first and the yanks are struggling for a Wild Card spot..

The Eagles have been my brother's team since I was just a wee wittle booboo. Die hard fan, not just when they're winning.

I think he needs to know this quote.

Coming from the Bay Area, I feel like I'm an expert in T.O.'s antics. They get tiring and I'm not surprised he's having problems in Philly. It's sad, he's such a fabulous athelete. If he could just learn to shut his pie hole, he'd be perfect.

i still have to laugh at the idea of a ten day suspension for steriods...or the so called 20 game suspension of kenny rogers for attacking a camera man, it acutally lasted about 2 starts for him and some chump change(50,000). then there is todd bertuzzi, who gary bettman decided he has suffered long enough...supposedly a 40 game suspension, his lasted 17 games plus 7 playoff games...and Moore still hasn't recovered from the assault! i am not much of a basketball fan, but david stern did it right when he suspended artest for the season ... these atheletes are the best of the best, professionals...they should act like it ... and for t.o. , i would just release him...if i wanted drama, i'd watch a soap opera ...

Please, for the love of all that is holy, let my Titans get a ring this year.

I know I'm a Texan but I've been with these guys since they were Oilers. I remember wondering if McNair would ever be as good as Moon.

I hate T.O. He may be one of the most talented receivers in football, but the guy's a punk. Eagle fans will hate him too soon.

T.O. didn't want to go to Baltimore in a trade from the 49ers so he and his agent negotiated a deal with the Eagles who would work out compensation to Baltimore and the 49ers. With all that said, Owens was advised by the NFL Players Association to not sign the Eagles contract. Owens, of course, signs it and wants a new contract the next year. I have no sympathy for him.

dusty - i'm a big sports nut ! my fav sport to play is hockey - and i love football and baseball...basketball is slowly growing back on me , since the strike in the 90's (98?) i was there at seahawk stadium when T.O. did that autograph football thing after he scored...i thought it was funny, and blown wayyyyy out of proportion... you know, the NFL no fun league. but, his problem is his verbal diarhea ... my god, my 8 year old daughter doesnt bitch as much as he does !

ha read this ESPN article...

The Philadelphia Eagles have sent wide receiver Terrell Owens a letter outlining what they perceive is a series of behavioral problems over the last two weeks, a league source told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.

Owens acknowledged in a conversation on Monday with ESPN's Michael Irvin that he had received the letter.

The letter was sent over the weekend and arrived at Owens' home in Atlanta on Monday, two days before he is scheduled to meet with head coach Andy Reid at the Eagles' practice facility.

A source characterized the letter as the beginning of a process to suspend Owens from the team if Owens' behavior does not change after that meeting takes place. Owens is expected, according to the Eagles, to rejoin the team on Wednesday, but Reid has said he would only allow Owens back on the field if he sees a marked change in his behavior and attitude.

That is exactly how you treat a child... as the ever expletive coach jerry glanville once said to a rookie referee ... " this is the NFL, which will stand for Not For Long if you keep screwing up!"

Thom, Glanville's quote is one of my all time favorites :) and yes it is how you treat a spoiled child..with a big ego..I knew the Eagles would nip this crap in the bud since they did it w/Duce Staley couple years ago..it seems that TO has alot of money and an entourage but he is a tad short in the brains department..afterall, its not brain surgury..its catching a friggin ball..
