Another meme..but a musical one.

This one is from Shining Star. She has requested the seven songs I am currently listening to, which is tough since my laptop blew up and and I lost all my Itunes music. So, per the meme:

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

OOOkay..here we go..

Joe Bonamassa's If Heartaches were Nickels, live version recorded at Pierre's in Ft.Wayne, IN.
Billy Idols' White Wedding
AC/DC's Hells Bells
Cream's White Room (its listed incorrectly as Clapton's White Room)
Jonny Lang's Red Light
Buddy Guy&Jonny Lang's version of Red House
Eagles Desperado

Alas, but I do not tag folks anymore..so I can not complete this..but I would like to know what the following folks are listening to:
Kurt
Bruce
John Q Public
Fantastic Alice
Dick Cheney
Scooter Libby
Karl Rove

There are two of them w/links for your listening or watching pleasure..enjoy :)

10 people gave us their .02 cents:

Speaking of Buddy Guy. I saw him last night. Great show! I also saw Joe on Friday night. The band is pretty decent.

Peace

I love Buddy Guy..saw him in Vegas a few months ago. Joe's band is probably much tighter than when I saw them Jill. It was their first and second concerts respectively.

Frankly, I'm not listening to any cds right now; haven't for a long time. The only music I've been listening to is on the radio...

only becuz of your great taste in beer (I saw what you offered alice).
Eyes of the World off of Dick's Picks, Vol. 35 by The Grateful Dead. very upbeat version.
Golly Sandra by Eisley
It Could Be Sweet by Portishead
Something About What Happens When We Talk by Lucinda Willams (although you should check out her live from Fillmore cd on her myspace, too.) It rocks.
Salim has been in my CD player alot lately, too. Let me knwo if you don't think this guy sounds like Ray Davies.
I have also been streaming shows from various people like Ryan Adams, Little Feat and Guster from Live Archive.org.
And since you posted Pandora, I haven't been able to turn it off either. THAT is an awesome site.

Kurt..I love Pandora..it turns me on to people and groups that I would miss otherwise..I grew up w/Little Feat m'dear..Lowell George and I got stoned toghether for years..Billy Paine's bro was a boyfriend of mine during college. They are my bro's..but since I just got tagged, I couldn't really screen my songs..it said what your listening to now..and I lost alot of my Lil Feat when the laptop went down.I wil buy it all again..eventually.

thanks sweetie for your list..I appreciate it :) lots of good music out there, nice to share it w/others.

My dearest JQP..you are so fucking eclectic..I can not imagine your taste..from Bardot to Skynard? you are da man John..you love it all.

Bruce..what the hell? you must like what they play or you wouldn't listen..I hate radio..no one needs to pick my tunes for me..thats what the cd player, or in my case, The Ipod is for..my Ipod plays in the car so I never have to hear radio if I dont want to..and I don't.

I listen to the radio because I want to. Actually, I listen to ESPN and Don and Mike more than music during the week. On the weekend, I put the rock station on.

hey dusty, check out annamaria's site, especially on Fridays for the Friday Random Ten. I have been turned on to some great music through that feature and besides, the woman has some excellent thoughts. I mean, for a left-leaning, feminist Bush basher ;-P
