Marlin's Sanchez tosses a No-No..

I am not so jaded with baseball that I don't get a smile on my face when a team gets a No-No. I say team because it is probably more of a team effort than a normal win. As the Rookie Manager, former Yank, Joe Girardi said.."when I was playing, I was scared I would be the one to screw it up."

Thats why the whole team gets a No-No. The Marlins have had 4 so far in their young history.

My Padres have never even had friggin 1.

Anibal Sanchez the rookie pitcher playing for the rookie manager got it done. Hope he basks in the glory of it tonight...cuz next year, every team will know what you got and when you toss it dude..

Marlins might still make the playoffs yet..and to think they have the lowest payroll in the bigs..$14,998,500, while A-fucking-Rod gets $25,680,727 all by his own self...ain't that some shit.

Edit: The Padre's won in the bottom of the 11th. A scoreless extravaganza up to that point. God I love this game. The winning homer was hit by a guy they just drug up from triple-A..I don't have a clue who the hell he is..but I heart the dude.

I caught the 9th inning of the no-hitter on Extra Innings. After seeing Izzy blow his 10th save today, it was nice to see that kid do that. Oh, btw...now they're saying Izzy's hip is wonky again. Either Cardinal pitchers are afraid to tell mgmnt when they're hurting or LaDuncan have put a Cone of Silence around them. I vote for the latter.

Tis sad when a team with potential is losing B..Izzy has always had medical problems..his whole career. I kept checking in on Sanchez. The Mosaic program on MLB.com is a great way to watch games..if you can multi-task well...otherwise one game at a time is enough.

Yes it is sad, Boo. The thing that gets me, and other Cards fans, is the seemingly wrong diagnoses by the medical staff, and this goes back to last year with the Rolen thing. It took them three months and a second opinion to find out that Mulder has a torn labrum, requiring surgery. Eckstein is out with a concussion, and he's on the DL, yet Edmonds is suffering from post-concussion syndrome and he's still listed as day to day. Something just isn't right there, if you ask me.

That is screwed up B..seriously..wtf is up with the docs..

Mulder's inj when I heard about it today, I said he had to of been playing with that for awhile..

Concussions are strange, they rate the bastards..I don't get it sometimes myself..

The pads are tied zip to zip bottom of the ninth..trevor loaded the bases but pitched his way out of it..jeebuz these kind make me nuts..

I'm feeling kinda proud today .... Sanchez pitches for my fantasy baseball team. It's my first "no-no"! I need to make up 5 games in four weeks .... that's a great start.

do you know of the House of David baseball team?

if you want I have a few pics you could steal... I was going to do something on them, but as you know I rank baseball right up there with cricket...

as always, all my best,

I'll have to get Extra Innings next season if Suddenlink offers it.

New report from CardinalNation... Izzy will be checked out while in AZ, and will likely be shut down, at least for a while. Too little, too late, IMO.

Izzy lasted longer than usual this year didn't he B?

Sonic..the last month only cost me 14 bucks..well worth the money.

John Q..I will take those pics..shall I email you for them?

I am a Mets fan. The Mets have had Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Nolan Ryan, Dwight Gooden, David Cone Pedro Martinez and Tom Glavine pitch for them, and yet never had any of them throw a no-hitter either. And that's playing all those years in Shea, which is not hitter-friendly like Coors Field or that new piece of shit bandbox in Philly.

Of course, the Mets have been no-hit themselves quite a few times. But that's another story.
