Oh this so sucks....

The Chargers beat themselves..the Patriots just came along for the ride. How else do you explain the fact that Brady had 3 INT's but his team still won?

These are the playoffs. You should never win when your interception prone in the playoffs.

Marty sucks at time management and play calling. Going for 4th and 11 at the beginning of the game but not the end of it...He sucked down those timeouts like gatorade towards the end of the game...on stupid shit. Rivers had the playoff rookie yips on too many plays.

At the end of the second quarter..the Chargers D left the field early...at least their motivation did.

The Personal Fouls..its a whole host of things..LaDanian could not deliver the entire game no matter how damn good he is. Its a team sport..it ain't fucking golf.

Oh fucking well...

i was left looking for a team to put my hex on when the Cowboys spit the bit. Being an old New Englander, I thought I would root for them (but not too hard since it seems I could probably have gotten the 1966 Packers out of the playoffs just by declaring my "fan-ness" for them).
As the game went along and the Pats seemed to be just off a bit (especially Brady), I started to wonder who I could curse next weekend. Then the last four minutes transpired and I was amazed the Pats pulled it out.
Funny how all during the pregame on ESPN, the only one wanting to "put it on" Marty was Michael Irvin. Everyone else was saying it was the players' fault....
I wonder if he will coach again anywhere else after he gets fired?

Yeah, I saw ESPN's show too, and although I can't stand Irvin..I figured as he did..it was on Marty's shoulders because Rivers is a playoff rookie..Marty needed to keep the kid calm, call plays he could pull off, and make sure they had time to do shit that needed to be done.

I do stick this on Marty..but I could be wrong and just pissed off.

Marty didn't head butt anyone, didn't drop any passes, or muff a punt. I don't understand why people are so quick to put all the blame on the coach/manager.

Um, did you even READ my post B? The personal fouls were included in my list of gripes.

Perhaps it is because Marty has never been able to make it to the top level? Just a thought there bud. Blaming the team only goes so far when the coach has never been able with ANY team to finish it.

OK... I'm not gonna argue with you on this, especially since I have no dog in this fight. You're understandably pissed, and you're just venting.

I'm not blaming Marty.

I think it was a mistake to go into prevent at the end of the second half, but if any one moment lost us the game, it was the head butt. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

But you know, I really like this team as a team. I'm hesitent to tamper with it. I want them back next year as much as possible.

Meanwhile, I'll be making alternate plans for Feb. 4.
